01Scope and who controls information
This Privacy Policy explains how Renovo collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information across the public website, mobile and desktop applications, private quote experiences, notifications, billing, and support. Renovo acts as the controller of account, subscription, security, and service-usage information. For client and project information entered by a business account, the business generally determines why that information is used and Renovo processes it to provide the service. Clients should direct project-specific privacy questions to the business that created the record.
02Information account owners provide
We collect information used to create and manage a Renovo account, such as name, business name, email address, phone number, business address, website, profile preferences, company logo, authentication records, selected plan, and support communications. We also process account settings, notification choices, language, currency, tax defaults, and other configuration selected by the user.
03Client, quote, and project information
Business users may enter client names, companies, email addresses, phone numbers, service and project addresses, preferred contact methods, notes, scope descriptions, line items, quantities, pricing, taxes, discounts, scheduled dates, quote status, and related project history. The account owner is responsible for having a lawful reason to collect and use this information and for giving clients any notices required by law.
04Files, logos, photos, and documents
Renovo processes files the user chooses to upload or create, including company logos, job photos, attachments, quote data, generated PDFs, and signed documents. Files may include metadata supplied by the device or file. Users should avoid uploading information that is unnecessary for the project and should remove sensitive metadata when appropriate.
05Quote recipients, decisions, and signatures
When a recipient opens a private quote link, Renovo processes the token needed to locate the quote, the information displayed in that quote, the recipient's acceptance or rejection, signature image when provided, decision time, and technical request information needed to secure and troubleshoot the transaction. The sender and recipient should retain the final document for their records. Private links are not intended to be forwarded or posted publicly.
06Location and address information
With device permission, Renovo may use current or last-known location while the app is open to center a map, search nearby places, or help fill a job address. Address searches and coordinates needed for mapping may be sent to the mapping provider. Renovo does not use location for targeted advertising and does not require location when a user chooses manual address entry. A location becomes part of a saved record only when the user saves an address or related project information.
07Camera, photos, files, and device permissions
Renovo requests camera, photo-library, file, notification, and location access only for the feature the user selects. Permission can be denied or changed in system settings, although the related feature may be limited. Renovo does not scan a photo library or file system beyond items the user selects through the operating-system picker.
08Biometrics and device security
If app lock is enabled, Renovo asks the operating system to verify Face ID, fingerprint, device passcode, or another supported device credential. Renovo receives the success or failure result but does not receive, store, or transmit biometric templates. Biometric data remains under the control of the device and operating-system provider.
09Device and notification information
To register and protect linked devices and deliver requested notifications, Renovo may process an account identifier, device identifier, device type, operating system, app version, push-notification token, registration time, last activity, notification preferences, and delivery or error status. Removing a linked device or disabling notifications limits future use of the related identifier, subject to short security and deletion-processing periods.
10Usage analytics and diagnostics
Usage analytics are optional and controlled through Renovo settings. When enabled, Renovo may collect product events such as screen name, platform, app version, plan, connectivity state, action source, duration, generalized error type, quote status, item or attachment counts, storage-usage ranges, and whether a quote has a client or signature. The analytics system is designed to exclude client names, contact details, addresses, quote text, exact prices, signatures, and file contents. Essential security, fraud-prevention, and operational diagnostics may still be processed regardless of the optional analytics setting.
11Payments and subscription information
Checkout and billing are handled by Stripe. Renovo receives information needed to manage access, such as Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, selected product or storage add-on, checkout and payment status, billing interval, renewal or cancellation state, refund state, and limited payment-method details provided by Stripe, such as brand and last four digits when available. Renovo does not store complete payment-card numbers in the app or its business databases.
12Website and technical information
When the website, applications, APIs, or private quote pages are used, servers and delivery providers may process IP address, date and time, requested page or operation, browser or app type, operating system, device and network information, referrer, response status, and security signals. The public website may use storage that is necessary for security, routing, preferences, or basic operation. Renovo does not use third-party advertising trackers to build profiles for targeted advertising.
13How information is used
Renovo uses personal information to authenticate users; operate and synchronize accounts, clients, quotes, files, signatures, and settings; generate and deliver documents and private links; provide maps, notifications, subscriptions, support, and storage; calculate product usage; recover from failures; prevent fraud and abuse; investigate security events; enforce agreements; comply with law; and improve accessibility, reliability, and product design. Renovo does not use Customer Data to advertise unrelated products to a business's clients.
14Legal grounds for processing
Where a legal basis is required, Renovo relies on performance of a contract to provide requested account and product features; legitimate interests in securing, supporting, and improving the service; consent for optional analytics, device permissions, and certain communications; and compliance with legal obligations. A user may withdraw consent through product or device settings where processing is based on consent, without affecting earlier lawful processing.
15When information is disclosed
Renovo discloses information only as reasonably necessary: to the account owner and authorized users; to an intended quote recipient; to infrastructure, storage, identity, payment, mapping, notification, email, support, and professional service providers operating under appropriate obligations; during a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale subject to continued protection; to comply with valid legal process; or to protect rights, safety, accounts, and the service. Renovo may publish or share aggregate or de-identified information that is not reasonably linkable to a person.
16Key service providers
Renovo uses specialized providers to operate the service. These currently include Amazon Web Services for cloud hosting, identity, APIs, databases, file storage, and email-related infrastructure; Stripe for checkout and subscription billing; Mapbox for maps, address search, and geocoding; Firebase Cloud Messaging and device-platform providers for push notifications; and Apple, Google, Microsoft, and other platform operators for application distribution and device services. Each provider processes information under its own terms and privacy commitments as well as its agreement with Renovo.
17No sale or behavioral-advertising sharing
Renovo does not sell personal information for money and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under applicable U.S. state privacy laws. Renovo does not use Customer Data for third-party targeted advertising. If these practices change, this Policy and any legally required opt-out controls will be updated before the new practice begins.
18Retention and deletion
Renovo keeps information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose described in this Policy. Account profile, client, quote, file, signature, and subscription information is generally retained while the account or relevant record remains active and through the deletion and backup cycle after removal. Payment, tax, consent, transaction, dispute, and security records may be kept longer when required to meet legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, or enforcement obligations. Location used only to center a map is transient unless the user saves it as an address. Device tokens are retained while needed for the linked device or notification service. Optional analytics and operational logs are retained only for the period reasonably needed to analyze product performance, security, and reliability, then deleted or de-identified.
19Security
Renovo uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed for the nature of the information, including authenticated access, account-scoped authorization, transport encryption, protected cloud storage, expiring and single-decision links, payment-provider tokenization, device-management controls, logging, backups where configured, and restricted operational access. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Users must protect credentials, devices, exported files, and private links and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.
20Privacy rights and requests
Depending on location, a person may have rights to know or access personal information; correct inaccurate information; delete information; receive a portable copy; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; opt out of sale, targeted-advertising sharing, or certain profiling; appeal a denied request; and receive equal service without unlawful discrimination for exercising privacy rights. Account owners can manage many records and settings directly. Other requests should be submitted through authenticated in-app support or the support page. Renovo may verify identity, account authority, and the scope of a request before responding. Authorized agents may be required to provide proof of authority.
21California and other U.S. state disclosures
During the preceding 12 months, Renovo may have collected the categories described above, including identifiers, customer records, commercial and subscription information, internet or network activity, approximate or precise geolocation when enabled, professional or employment-related business information, user-created content, signatures, and inferences limited to operating and improving the service. Sources include users, quote recipients, devices, account administrators, payment and platform providers, and ordinary service operation. These categories are used and disclosed for the business purposes described in this Policy. Renovo does not sell them or share them for cross-context behavioral advertising. Where applicable, residents may exercise state-law rights through the request process above.
22International users and transfers
Renovo is operated using service providers and systems that may process information in the United States and other countries where providers operate. Privacy protections and government-access rules may differ by location. Where required, Renovo will use recognized transfer mechanisms and contractual protections. Individuals in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or similar jurisdictions may also have rights to complain to their local data-protection authority.
23Children's privacy
Renovo is a business service and is not directed to children. Account holders must be legally capable of entering the Terms and may not create accounts for children. Renovo does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If Renovo learns that a child provided personal information directly without legally required authorization, it will take reasonable steps to delete the information. Information about a child entered by an adult as part of a lawful business record remains the responsibility of the business account that submitted it.
24Policy changes
Renovo may update this Policy to reflect product, provider, legal, or operational changes. The updated page will state its effective date. Material changes will be communicated through the service or another reasonable account notice, and renewed consent will be requested when required by law. Earlier versions may be retained for compliance and consent records.
25Contact and complaints
Privacy questions, access or deletion requests, appeals, and security concerns should be submitted through authenticated in-app support when they involve an account or private record, or through the public support page for general inquiries. Do not include passwords, complete payment-card details, private signature links, or client documents in an initial message. Renovo will provide any additional legal-entity, privacy-contact, or regulator information required for a person's jurisdiction.
